Marie Gillain, born on June 18, 1975, in Liège, is a Belgian actress who gained fame at age 16 with her breakout role in Mon père, ce héros (1991).
She received critical acclaim for her performance in L’Appât (1995), earning the Prix Romy-Schneider. Known for her versatility, she has appeared in a wide range of comedies, dramas, and theatre productions, including Le Bossu (1997) and Toutes nos envies (2011), which earned her a César nomination. Beyond acting, she is an ambassador for Plan International Belgium and is the mother of two daughters.
